ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Remedial Engineer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and rectifying structural issues across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and client specifications. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the longevity and safety of existing structures.
DUTIES.
- Identifying and evaluating defects in buildings, including cracks, water ingress, and corrosion.
- Designing strategies to repair and strengthen affected structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Documenting findings and recommendations for property owners, strata managers, and insurers.
- Overseeing the implementation of remediation works, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Adhering to Australian standards and regulations, including the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and National Construction Code (NCC).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven and extensive experience in remedial engineering, with a strong understanding of structural assessment and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Microstran, Strand7, Bluebeam SpaceGass and Inducta (not essential)
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
