ABOUT THE COMPANY.

The Corporate Performance and Customer Experience team is an established group focused on delivering high-quality services, strong governance, and effective leadership across Council operations.  


ABOUT THE POSITION.

This 12-month fixed term role sits within the Customer and Corporate Strategy Division and reports to the Project Portfolio Management Office Coordinator. As the Project Risk and Assurance Advisor, you will play a key role in strengthening Council’s risk management capability, enhancing project assurance practices and supporting the delivery of major projects across multiple sites, including construction environments.
You will provide expert advice on risk, lead quality audits as part of the ePMO program and help build a consistent, high-performing project culture across the organisation.

  
DUTIES.
  • Lead project risk management and assurance activities
  • Deliver the ePMO Quality Audit Program
  • Facilitate project risk workshops and provide expert advice
  • Support project teams to identify, assess and mitigate risk
  • Report on key risk and audit findings to improve project outcomes  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Experience in project risk, project governance or audit
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and assurance methods
  • Confident working across multiple projects and construction sites
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable) and a current driver’s licence
