Due to continued growth in the ACT, they’re seeking a driven Site Safety Officer to support and lead safety practices across multiple local projects.
About the Position.
As a Site Safety Officer, you’ll be embedded on-site, working closely with Project and Site Managers to drive proactive safety outcomes. You’ll play a key role in educating, auditing, and influencing safe work practices while maintaining strong documentation and compliance standards.
Duties.
- Advise site teams on practical ways to mitigate safety risks
- Conduct toolbox talks, audits, and safety inspections
- Lead and report on incident investigations
- Collaborate with management and subcontractors to ensure WHS compliance
- Maintain up-to-date records and assist in developing new safety protocols
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety in Construction including First Aid Certificate
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and building codes
- Proven experience as safety Manager or similar
- Experience in reporting and developing policies
