ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior 12d Designer to join their civil engineering design team in Sydney. This role is ideal for a highly skilled designer who is passionate about delivering civil projects with precision and efficiency, particularly in the areas of residential, commercial, roads, highways, drainage, and general civil works. You’ll play a key role in developing detailed civil designs using 12d Model and collaborating closely with engineers, drafters, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery across various public and private sector clients.
DUTIES.
- Produce and manage detailed civil design drawings and models using 12d Model software
- Work on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, roads, highways, subdivisions, stormwater drainage, and general civil solutions
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability
- Provide technical input and design leadership across multiple concurrent projects
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for tender and construction phases
- Mentor and support junior designers and drafters
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, guidelines, and client requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Extensive and proven experience in civil design, with a strong focus on 12d Model
- Proven experience working on urban subdivisions and land developments in Australia
- Proficient in 12D, AutoCAD, and familiarity with other design tools (e.g., Civil 3D) is advantageous
- Strong understanding of local council, and authority standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality outputs
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
