ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a Senior Asset Specialist to support the ongoing development and improvement of Council’s asset management systems and strategies.
Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Data and Systems, you will provide specialist advice, data insights, and leadership to ensure effective management of Council’s asset portfolio across its full lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain asset management strategies, systems, and plans
- Support long-term financial and capital works planning
- Maintain and improve the accuracy of the asset register
- Conduct data and spatial analysis to support reporting and decision-making
- Provide expert advice on asset management policy and planning
- Mentor asset officers and act in the Team Leader role when required
- Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in local government or infrastructure asset management
- Strong data analysis and system management skills (e.g., GIS, asset systems)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Leadership and mentoring experience preferred
