ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join the team and play a key role in delivering a diverse range of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with clients, councils, consultants and internal teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take greater ownership of projects while continuing to develop their technical and leadership capabilities.
DUTIES.
- Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects across residential, commercial, education and aged care developments
- Prepare and review civil engineering designs, documentation and technical reports
- Manage project deliverables, timeframes and client expectations
- Liaise with clients, councils, contractors and other consultants
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian standards and council requirements
- Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in civil engineering within the Australian market
- Strong experience across civil design and project delivery
- Experience with relevant civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC and TUFLOW
- Strong understanding of Australian standards, council requirements and development processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is highly regarded
