ABOUT THE POSITION. 

An opportunity exists for a Senior Civil Engineer to play a key role in the design, delivery, and leadership of civil engineering projects. You will take ownership of complex designs across stormwater, flooding, subdivisions, roads, and carparks while working closely with clients, authorities, and internal teams. This role offers a balance of technical leadership, project management, and mentorship within a collaborative environment.


DUTIES.
  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, urban developments, residential subdivisions, and commercial precincts
  • Undertake and review site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical assessments
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, reports, and documentation in line with Australian standards and approvals processes
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout all project phases
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in civil engineering consultancy, ideally within the Australian market
  • Strong proficiency in design and modelling software including DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
