This reputable Local Council is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to play a pivotal part in their team. For the duration of a 3 - 6 month contract with , you will be reporting to the Coordinator, promoting a positive image of Council in an efficient and courteous manner.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this role, you will spend around 70% of your time on-site conducting inspections and investigations. It’s an excellent opportunity within the Public Sector for anyone looking to progress into a Building Surveyor role, while being supported by a collaborative and highly dedicated team.
DUTIES.
- Investigate unauthorised building and development matters and non-compliance in relation to conditions of development consent
- Conduct investigations on compliance issues regarding breaches of relevant local government, planning and environmental legislation
- Carry out appropriate enforcement action by way of education, fines, notices, orders and directions
- Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying, Town Planning, Investigations, or related discipline
- Previous working experience in similar discipline is highly preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with Pathways, CRM and TRIM
