ABOUT THE POSITION.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Planner to join a high-performing infrastructure team in Perth. You will take ownership of key project deliverables, supporting cost planning and management across the full project lifecycle.
In this role, you will prepare robust estimates, develop detailed cost plans, and advise clients on risk, value, and cost optimisation. You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment across major aviation, transport, and marine infrastructure projects.
DUTIES.
- Provide detailed cost planning and forecasting at all project stages
- Prepare feasibility studies, estimates, and budgets for infrastructure works
- Undertake trade take-offs, BOQ pricing, and benchmark analysis
- Manage cost reporting, financial reconciliation, and change management
- Support risk and value management processes
- Attend client and design meetings, providing proactive cost advice
- Deliver accurate cost modelling using industry software such as CostX, Expert Estimation, and MS Office
- 5+ years of cost planning / quantity surveying experience within infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge across aviation, roads, rail, bridges, and marine works
- Proficiency in industry tools (CostX, Expert Estimation, MS Office)
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies and industry innovations
- Professional membership (or working towards) with RICS, AIQS, or CIOB
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
