As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to take a leading role in the estimating function and help drive the business forward.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a senior role with real weight behind it. Working closely with the Pre Construction Manager and wider leadership team, you will take full ownership of the end to end estimating process across a diverse portfolio of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects. Your submissions will directly shape which projects this business wins, and your influence will extend beyond the desk, contributing to strategy, mentoring junior estimators and helping build the estimating function into something the business can scale from.
DUTIES
- Prepare and submit competitive tender packages
- End to end project estimating across fitout and refurbishment
- Cost planning and budget analysis
- Scope of works preparation
- Subcontractor negotiations
- Pre tender planning
- Bill of Quantities
- Mentor and support junior estimating staff
- Collaborate with the leadership team on business development strategy
- Minimum 5 years experience in an estimating role within the commercial construction industry
- Strong background in commercial fitout and refurbishment
- Proven ability to price and win projects up to $30M
- Sharp analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills at subcontractor and client level
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
