ABOUT THE POSITION.
Working closely with experienced technical leaders and project directors, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex flood modelling and stormwater projects across both public and private sector developments.
This is a hands-on technical and client-facing role offering genuine career progression into leadership.
DUTIES.
- Delivery of flood studies, flood impact assessments, and stormwater management plans
- Hydraulic and hydrologic modelling using industry-standard software
- Preparation of technical reports and design documentation
- Liaising directly with councils, government authorities, developers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work
- Contributing to project management, client relationships, and business development initiatives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Relevant Civil Engineering degree qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in flood modelling, drainage, or water engineering
- Strong experience using TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, or similar software
- Experience delivering projects within the Australian consulting environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage projects and build strong stakeholder relationships
- CPEng status or progression toward chartership will be highly regarded
