ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead a skilled team of geotechnical professionals. The role involves conducting site investigations, in-situ testing, and overseeing geotechnical drilling and test pitting activities. Additionally, the engineer will prepare both factual and interpretive geotechnical reports to support project decisions. DUTIES.
- Conduct site investigations and classification reports
- Understanding the impact of groundwater flow
- Conduct slope stability assessment, including landslides, rockfalls and soil slips
- Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
- Lead, mentor and support geotechnical engineering staff
- Design foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures
- Conduct geotechnical analysis, calculations, and design
- Write clear reports with useful, data-based recommendations
- Use numerical models to study ground conditions and behaviour
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor of Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar field.
- Proven and extensive geotechnical experience within the Australian market
- Proficient in PLAXIS, gINT, SLOPE/W, SLIDE or similar software.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant geotechnical codes
- Experience in client and stakeholder management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in written and oral
