ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This Brisbane-based geotechnical and environmental consultancy delivers end-to-end services across the construction lifecycle. Their multidisciplinary team provides integrated geotechnical and environmental solutions—from early-stage site investigations and design through to construction support, certification, and ongoing asset management. With a strong footprint across Queensland and beyond, the business is known for its collaborative delivery model, technical depth, and ability to add value across commercial, residential, infrastructure, and environmental projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take a leading role in the delivery of geotechnical projects in Brisbane and across the broader region. You will be involved in all phases of project delivery, applying technical expertise, managing investigations and designs, engaging directly with clients, and mentoring junior engineers. This role offers increased autonomy, leadership influence, and long-term professional development.

DUTIES.
  • Plan and deliver geotechnical investigations including field programs, in-situ testing, and laboratory coordination
  • Analyse and interpret complex subsurface data to assess ground conditions and inform design solutions
  • Prepare and review geotechnical designs for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthworks
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, specifications, and engineering recommendations
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team capability and knowledge sharing

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within an Australian consultancy
  • Proficient in geotechnical software such as gINT, PLAXIS, Rocscience, GeoStudio, Wallap, and OpenGround
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical challenges and deliver practical, cost-effective outcomes

CUTLURE.

The organisation fosters a supportive, inclusive, and professional environment where quality, integrity, and sustainability are central to everything they do. Team members are encouraged to grow both technically and professionally, supported by collaboration, mentorship, and a strong sense of purpose.

BENEFITS.
  • Competitive salary package aligned with senior-level experience
  • Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance
  • Ongoing professional development and structured career progression
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Regular team events and social activities
