ABOUT THE COMPANY

Join a globally respected consultancy that’s delivering high-impact projects across aged care, education, commercial, and residential sectors, all within live operating environments. Known for their technical strength, people-first approach, and down-to-earth culture, this firm partners with leading clients on projects that shape communities and improve lives.
They’ve built a strong reputation in the market by combining high-quality outcomes with genuine collaboration. As their Sydney team continues to grow, they’re now looking for a driven and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead key projects and be part of a workplace where your growth, satisfaction, and success truly matter.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be the trusted lead on complex, live-environment projects, delivering refurbishments, extensions, and upgrades where every detail counts. You’ll liaise directly with clients, manage project costs from feasibility through to final account, and help maintain the quality and consistency this firm is known for.
You’ll report directly to approachable senior leadership and benefit from monthly check-ins with your manager - a structured opportunity to discuss your progress, raise ideas, and ensure your goals are on track. This is more than a role; it’s a place to grow your career with confidence and support.

DUTIES
  • Lead and manage quantity surveying services across live projects in aged care, education, commercial, and residential sectors
  • Prepare and review cost plans, tender analysis, BOQs, progress claims, and variations
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide commercial advice and ensure compliance with project scopes, timelines, and budgets
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development
  • Contribute to business development and tender submissions
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum 5–6 years' experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Strong background working on live sites or staged construction projects
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and desire to keep growing
CULTURE

This consultancy is all about people—creating a positive, inclusive environment where every team member feels heard, supported, and valued. There are no egos, no silos, just a motivated and collaborative team working towards shared goals.
From one-on-one career planning to casual catch-ups and milestone celebrations, this is a place where your professional and personal wellbeing are genuinely prioritised. Team lunches, Friday wind-downs, cultural events, and project win celebrations are all part of the rhythm here—making work both rewarding and enjoyable.

BENEFITS
  • Tailored career progression plan from day one
  • Monthly meetings with your manager to support your development and satisfaction
  • Above-market salary, reviewed regularly to reflect your contribution
  • Strictly capped 40-hour work week – real work-life balance, not just a promise
  • Exposure to landmark projects across multiple sectors
  • Diverse portfolio – opportunity to work across aged care, education, commercial and residential without being pigeonholed
