ABOUT THE POSITION.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Stormwater Engineer to join a growing civil team. You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of stormwater management solutions across a broad range of development projects, while providing technical guidance to junior engineers and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction, on technically challenging projects that make a lasting impact.
DUTIES.
- Lead the design and modelling of stormwater drainage networks, OSD systems and water-sensitive urban design solutions.
- Prepare Stormwater Management Plans, Flood Impact Assessments and supporting engineering reports.
- Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate with architects, planners, councils and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards, council requirements and relevant environmental guidelines.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and client expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the civil team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Extensive experience delivering stormwater engineering projects within an Australian consulting environment
- Strong understanding of Australian stormwater design principles, local authority requirements and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency with DRAINS, MUSIC, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, Civil 3D OR 12d and related stormwater modelling software
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality technical outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with experience liaising directly with clients and stakeholders
