ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a variety of challenging projects, providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
DUTIES.
- Lead and manage structural design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations and documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters
- Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal design solutions
- Conduct site inspections and assessments as required
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in structural engineering, within the Australian market
- Proficiency in structural design software like Inducta, RAPT, RAM Concept, ETABs, Space Gass (or similar)
- Strong understanding of Australian building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
