ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a Council located South of Sydney, who are committed to a positive, and supportive workplace culture that prides themselves on serving their community through operating with transparency, integrity and in the best interest to deliver. This position sits within the City Futures Directorate and will report to the Manager City Infrastructure.
  
ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical advice including detailed assessments on engineering and road safety matters to major developments and infrastructure proposals to minimise impacts on road networks, including traffic, transport, parking and road safety, scoping various planning, development, operation and facilitation of traffic and transport programs.

DUTIES:
  • Undertake parking, traffic and road safety investigations, programs and projects
  • Manage road safety education programs and resources
  • Assess and implement strategies and engineering solutions for traffic efficiency
  • Prepare funding submissions and grants for traffic matters
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.  
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience as Traffic or Transport Engineer
  • Driven individual who is goal orientated to produce outcomes for their community
  • High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
