ABOUT THE COMPANY.

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Urban Design Advisor to join a rapidly growing Local Council in Western Sydney on an initial 6-month contract , with potential for extension. This role will play a key part in delivering urban design and public domain outcomes, with a strong focus on development referrals and city-shaping projects.


ABOUT THE POSITION.

Reporting to the Coordinator City Design & Public Domain, you will provide specialist urban design and public domain advice across development applications, planning proposals, and Council-led projects. You will contribute to the design quality of streets, public spaces, and urban renewal areas across the LGA.


DUTIES.
  • Provide specialist urban design and public domain advice on development applications and planning proposals across the LGA
  • Contribute to urban renewal, structure plans, and public domain frameworks, including streets, public spaces, and city-shaping projects
  • Prepare and review design guidelines, controls, reports, and visual material to support high-quality urban outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, liveable, and well-designed urban environments

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture or related 
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD , SketchUp , Adobe Creative Suite , and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills
  • Local Government experience highly regarded
