Based in Inner Southern Sydney, work for your Local Council as a WHS Advisor. You will play a vital role in the development, implementation and maintenance of Council's health and safety programs.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start for an initial 6-month contract . You will work closely with the leaders across Council and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with WHS regulations and to further promote a safe, healthy and compliant work culture.
DUTIES.
- Provide advice on WHS policies, procedures and legislation
- Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits
- Develop, implement and improve WHS strategies and systems for Council
- Develop and support the delivery of WHS initiatives and safety programs
- Conduct worksite inspections/audits and prepare reports
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Cert IV in WHS and/or extensive experience in the WHS field
- Experience working in Local Council and/or Government preferred but not necessary
- Demonstrated comprehensive professional knowledge of WHS legislation and standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
