Join a team of industry professionals within a Sydney Local Council as a Strategic Planner. You will work within a small team and play a vital role in communicating and promoting relevant planning policies.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this position, you will be working on some of the most exciting and challenging strategic planning projects. Contributing to the development of Council’s land use and transport planning, economic development policies and strategies.
DUTIES.
- Assessing and preparing planning proposals, LEPs and CDPs
- Managing rezoning and master planning applications
- Liaising planning advice to relevant stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of planning and design policy
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline
- Experience and relevant understanding of Strategic Planning processes and application of legislation and policy
- Ability to undertake strategic research, analysis and interpretation of information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
