This reputable Local Council based in Southern Suburbs is actively seeking for an experienced and ambitious Town Planner to join their collaborative and supportive team environment. Play a key role within a team that is highly committed to making meaningful contributions to community development.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
You will be reporting to the Development Assessment Manager and you will be responsible for assessing development applications (DAs), coordinating Council reports for planning panels and evaluating and reporting on small to medium DAs.
DUTIES.
- Assess residential DAs
- Duty planning
- Site inspections
- Liaise with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Urban/Town Planning or related
- Strong ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Understanding of NSW Planning Legislation/Controls
- Minimum of 2 years working experience within a Local Council
