ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to step into a pivotal role on a 12 week contract in a high performing team. Working within a collaborative team of engineers and planners, you’ll provide expert advice on Development Applications, lead investigations into traffic-related concerns, and play an integral role in shaping safe, efficient, and sustainable transport networks across the municipality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess traffic impact of Development Applications
- Providing advice to internal and external stakeholders on traffic, transport and parking matters
- Undertake site inspections and investigation of traffic, transport and road safety issues
- Prepare design layouts for new traffic facilities including pedestrian and bicycle paths
- Degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in traffic and transport within Local Government is a must
- Solid understanding of NSW Road Rules, Australian Standards, and Austroads guidelines.
- Skilled in technical report writing and stakeholder communication.
- Experience with traffic software (e.g. SIDRA, AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
