ABOUT THE POSITION. 

We are seeking a motivated and organised Water Services Coordinator to oversee and coordinate a range of water, wastewater, and stormwater network operations. In this role you will liaise between field crews, contractors, regulators and stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance, and asset integrity. This is a hands-on coordination and planning role operating at the core of their water services operations.


DUTIES. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations including water supply, wastewater collection, and stormwater system maintenance and works scheduling
  • Manage service requests and coordinate response actions with field crews, contractors, and external partners
  • Monitor and track job progress to ensure timely completion, including inspections, maintenance, repair, and cleaning works
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of network assets, maintenance history, and service performance
  • Prepare and assist with regulatory compliance reports, permits, water quality and safety documentation as required
  • Interpret technical plans, system maps, and GIS data to guide operations and maintenance planning
  • Communicate with stakeholders including customers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, respond to enquiries and provide updates as needed
  • Support on-call and emergency response duties if required, ensuring swift resolution of urgent water service issues

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 
  • Degree in civil engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous experience in water services, utilities coordination, asset management or related operations, ideally within a water/wastewater context
  • Familiarity with water industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance procedures
  • Competence with data systems, asset-management software, GIS and mapping tools; plus proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and clients/stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure including, for emergency response situations
