As such, this company is seeking to employ a driven WHS Site Coordinator to oversee the delivery of current and upcoming projects from start to finish in their Sydney NSW division.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
As a WHS Site Coordinator, you report to the Project Manager and Construction Manager to help advocate safe work practices. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness.
DUTIES.
- Maintain a safe workplace by identifying hazards and implementing control measures to reduce risks
- Establish and implement Project Risk Assessment & WHS plan
- Direct accident investigation procedures
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Ensure the Project team(s) are meeting their safety responsibilities outlined in the WHSMS
- Weekly Toolbox Talks jointly with the Site Manager
- SWMS Reviews
- Proven experience in a safety role within building construction
- Site management experience/background is advantageous
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Diligent with an analytical mind
