ABOUT THE COMPANY.

They focus a majority of their time to staff development, ensuring that an abundance of responsibilities are given to their Engineers to take leadership roles within projects. They have recently expanded their project portfolio and for that reason, are looking to grow their management team.

ABOUT THE POSITION.
 
As a Stormwater/Flood Engineer, your primary focus will be on stormwater drainage, flooding, hydraulics and hydrology projects working alongside the Director and 3 other Engineers. You will have experience working on infrastructure projects and completing flood, stormwater assessments & flood mitigation demonstrating experience in RORB & TUFLOW. The successful person will be comfortable to interact with key stakeholders with minimal supervision.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Undertake site inspections for drainage and flooding areas
  • Stormwater catchment analysis
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for flood studies
  • Develop and maintain flood models
  • Run/lead your own projects autonomously 
  • Co-ordinate the design of roads, storm water drainage, and subdivision projects

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Degree Qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience managing several projects 
  • Prior experience with flood management/flood modelling
  • Experience in stormwater and flooding assessments is essential 
  • Proficient with TUFLOW, RORB or Drains software is highly advantageous
  • Familiar with Australian codes and standards 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
