Job Description

This opportunity is to join a dynamic and client-focused, multidisciplinary Building Services engineering consultancy located walking distance from a known train station in Sydney. They deliver diverse projects covering multiple sectors and have growing teams in Sydney and Melbourne consisting of over 30 employees. The Directors across all divisions have previously worked for large tier-1 companies and are well respected in the Australian consulting industry.
Working in a close-knit Hydraulic and Fire team of 5 people, you will be involved in delivering various small boutique projects, up to the larger and more challenging projects. Depending on your experience level, you'll also have the opportunity to run and manage your own projects, with support from a Director when required.
  • Design wet & dry Fire services including fire hydrants, fire hose reels and sprinklers into Revit
  • Coordinate designs to correct any clashes
  • Produce 3D models using Revit MEP
  • Ensure work is delivered to a high standard and within required time frames
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal team members to deliver solutions
  • Over 2 years of experience in Building Services design
  • Previous Revit experience is important (modelling Fire services) and the ability to operate software independently is preferred
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Understanding of Australian design standards and BCA
  • Solution driven and enthusiastic about facing challenges
  • Great communication skills will be considered favourably

Employees enjoy working for this company as the office culture is very social and supportive, and employees are not required to complete timesheets. The Directors give each person the opportunity to grow and build on their skills by letting them take ownership over their own projects to support personal growth/development. The teams are also well balanced with a good mix of male and female employees and the Directors promote work-life-balance and flexible working.

  • Free parking available
  • Strong project pipeline - career stability
  • Accelerated career progression opportunities
  • Mentorship and training available
  • Career progression into Hydraulics engineering if desired
