ABOUT THE COMPANY

Well-established organisation with over 10 Aged Care Facilities across SA, with a focus on providing high quality care to all of their residents and stakeholders. Newly furnished 80 bed facility including a high care ward and dementia ward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of a person-centred Leisure & Lifestyle program for the residents, including the development, the design, facilitation and evaluation of a broad range of activity programs (individual and group). You will facilitate and coordinate leisure programs that support and improve the psychological, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of the residents.

DUTIES

• Design individualised leisure plans for residents
• Liaise with AINs and Support Workers to ensure successful implementation of these plans
• Facilitate group activities that overall improve morale of the facility

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualification in Leisure, Diversional Therapy or other relevant field
• Previous experience as a Diversional Therapist or as a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator
• Previous experience in an Aged Care Facility
