ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This company is one of the most recognised mid-tier consultancies across NSW. Their client list is extensive and their projects, iconic! They are currently looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Sydney-based team to deliver various civil developments within the urban and land development sector.

ABOUT THE ROLE. 

As a Civil Engineer, you will take a lead position within the Civil team and work closely alongside the Team Leader. Your role will be to provide technical and management support to a civil team, to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high quality, while also assisting with the growth and development of junior staff in the team. 

Your portfolio will range from stormwater drainage, road design, site grading and some flood management for land and urban development projects. 

DUTIES. 
  • Lead the design team to meet project deadlines
  • Provide support, guidance and mentorship to the team
  • Liaise with Clients, councils and builders for project delivery
  • Undertake preliminary & detailed stormwater drainage design, site grading, bulk earthworks and road projects
  • Undertake training as required to further develop skills in civil engineering design, documentation and management
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • A degree qualification in engineering
  • Prior experience working in a consultancy environment is essential
  • Minimum 3 years domestic experience
  • Strong working knowledge of local government standards and processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills for client and team management
