ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Working for Local Council based in Northern Sydney. Starting off on a 6-week contract, you will assist in the processing of Council rates, maintenance of the revenue database and attend customer enquiries.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
START ASAP - As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager. You will be expected to demonstrate your experience in processing and issuing instalment notices within legislative timeframes. Moreover, your will deal with issues in a courteous and efficient manner.
DUTIES.
* Maintain and update Council's Rates and Revenue databases
* Run interest on overdue rate accounts
* Issue 603 Certificates, Pensioner Rebates and Domestic Waste adjustments
* Arrange for refunds regarding rates, charges, and rating fees
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* High School Certificate or equivalent qualification
* Experience working in a Rates position within Local Council
* Experience using TechOne is highly regarded
* Ability to interpret relevant legislation
