ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Working for your Local Council as a Junior Development Assessment Officer, you will be provided the relevant training and mentorship to grow your skillsets as a DA Planner. With an initial 6 month contract, you will be provided the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Ranging in complexity and scale, you will be delivering on fast track residential DA's alongside a team of highly performing Senior Development Assessment Officers. Reporting to the Team Leader Town Planner, you will be provided a productive environment to build the necessary skills in becoming a highly competent DA Officer.

DUTIES.

• Assist in Development Application Assessment
• Provide technical advice and negotiate on solutions
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders
• Perform site visits and investigations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Diploma/Degree in Town Planning
• No previous experience in Council needed!
• Minimum 2-4 years' experience in DA assessment or preparation
• Unrestricted Driver's License
• High level interpersonal and communication skills in stakeholder management
