ABOUT THE COMPANY.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As an Estimator specialising in subdivisions, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring that all cost estimates are comprehensive and competitive. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with various project stakeholders.

DUTIES.
  • Review and interpret project documentation, including blueprints and technical specifications, to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value for the project.
  • Develop and maintain a database of costs, including materials, labour rates, and subcontractor fees.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and presentations for clients.
  • Monitor project costs during construction to ensure budgets are adhered to and variances are managed effectively.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the civil construction industry, with a focus on subdivision projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools, with the ability to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
