ABOUT THE COMPANY.
A Local Council based in the Northern suburbs of Sydney is looking for a Payroll Officer to assist with the day to day responsibilities of the payroll team requiring high level problem solving skills and exceptional communication skills.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start. An initial 12-month opportunity with strong likelihood of extension and transitioning into a more stable position. Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator you will be assisting in duties to coordinate and produce a timely and accurate payroll in addition to responding to complicated payroll enquiries.
DUTIES.
* Process payroll functions (end-to-end)
* Process weekly payroll for permanent, temporary and casual staff
* Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
* Responding to complicated payroll enquiries from customers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Minimum 3-4 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency using an advanced payroll system
* High level of attention to detail & simple problem solving skills
