Permanent opportunity for a Local Council based in the Southern Highlands. Council offers healthy work life balance with a 35-hour working week, work from home arrangements & variable days off. You will be expected to attend Council's 3 sites - main office & 2 depots.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Contributing to the Integrated Risk Management team, you will be responsible for managing Council's injury claims and influence return to work outcomes. You will demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills to manage the Workers Compensation portfolio including the development of injury prevention strategies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

DUTIES
- Manage Council's workers compensation claims
- Implementation of targeted injury management initiatives
- Strategise improvements for Council's WC process to reduce the number and severity of injuries, claims & annual costs
- Investigate claims & build RTW programs
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and motivate employees to increase WHS awareness
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Return to Work Accreditation
- Significant experience in RTW coordination & workplace investigations
- Local Council or construction industry experience
- Interpret & apply WC legislative standards & guidelines
- Experience using Vault and dealing with insurer State Cover
SALARY & BENEFITS
- $77,000 - $89,000 + Super
