ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Your Council is based on the North Shore (Northern Sydney). Reporting to the Contracts & Procurement Team Lead, this position will focus on supporting the on-going projects including the Modern Slavery Act.


ABOUT THE POSITION.

A 2-month contract. You will be required to work both autonomously and collaboratively with Council's Risk Specialist. Whilst it is highly preferred to have Public Sector experience, your risk experience and policy writing skills will be "most" key in your success in the role. 


DUTIES.

* Involvement in Council's overall risk and procurement processes
* Create policies & develop/conduct training on internal employees
* Undertake risk assessments and provide internal/external support
* Deal with internal & external stakeholders including suppliers


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

* Local Council experience is preferred but not mandatory
* Significant experience in risk assessment & policy writing
* Proven experience in developing and conducting training programs
* High level of maturity and communication skills
