ABOUT THE POSITION.
  
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join their dynamic team in Sydney CBD. As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of hydraulic systems for a range of building projects. From concept development to project completion, you will lead the hydraulic engineering aspects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, sustainability goals, and client requirements.
  

DUTIES.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants, to integrate hydraulic solutions seamlessly into building designs
  • Lead the design and documentation of hydraulic systems for building projects, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance and efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout all project stages, from feasibility studies to construction administration
  • Review project specifications, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and adherence to quality standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide training on hydraulic engineering principles and best practices

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in hydraulic engineering, with a focus on Building Services projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification preferred
