ABOUT THE POSITION.

They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Structural Drafter to join their expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including Commercial, Residential, and Infrastructure developments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality structural drafting services while mentoring junior drafters and contributing to the continuous improvement of our drafting processes.


DUTIES.
  • Prepare detailed structural drawings and documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop innovative design solutions
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior drafters, providing guidance and support
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
  • Continuously improve drafting processes and workflows within the team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Structural Drafting, with a focus on building structures
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in mentoring and leading junior drafters is highly desirable
