ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a local council located in Sydney's South West as a Strategic Planner. The successful candidate will work within a high performing and collaborative team to communicate and promote relevant planning policies.

  
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this position, you will develop a high level of professional and technical support in contributing to the development of Council’s land use and transport planning, economic development policies and strategies. 

  
DUTIES.
  • Assessing and writing planning proposals
  • Project manage major rezoning and master planning applications
  • Liaise planning advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding relevant Council and State planning related policies
  • Reviewing Government Policy to formulate submissions
  
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 
  • Qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline
  • Prior Local Government experience is preferred
  • Strong experience in development of planning strategies and policy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
