ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Join a team of experienced industry professionals within a Sydney Local Council as a Town Planner. This is an initial 6 month contract which has a strong likelihood of being extended. Become a value member of their collaborative team where you can make a meaningful impact on community development.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Town Planner, you will report to the Coordinator and be responsible for assessing small to intermediate level Development Applications (DAs), liaising with various stakeholders throughout the development process, and providing pre-DA lodgement advice. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with legislative requirements and Council standards. Due to the nature of the work, you will be expected to be in the office full-time (Monday to Friday).
DUTIES.
- Assessing and reporting on small to intermediate development applications (DAs)
- Liaising with various stakeholders throughout the development process
- Offering written and verbal advice on matters related to land use, zoning, planning legislation, Council policies and procedures
- Providing pre-DA lodgement advice and ensuring that all project activities comply with legislative requirements and Council standards
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Degree qualification in Town Planning or related
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Previous experience working for Local Council is preferred
