ABOUT THE COMPANY.
This Regional Council, located in the Northern Rivers of NSW, is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Coordinator to join their Strategic Planning Team for an immediate start. Initial 6 month contract with a strong likelihood of transition to a permanent position.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this role, you will be leading a team consisting of 4-5 strategic planners while also working closely with the Manager of Development Land Use Planning. Your duties involve rezoning, coordinating and promoting a broad range of strategic land use planning strategies.

DUTIES.
- Assessing and writing planning proposals
- Project manage major rezoning and master planning applications
- Liaise with the public to mediate and resolve conflict between major planning proposals
- Reviewing Government Policy to formulate submissions
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Town Planning
- Current Drivers Licence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation governing Native Title is highly desirable
